Bruce Springsteen: Jersey Girl Cover

Tom Waits is a humble living legend of acknowledged cross-genre accomplishments who was not fully discovered until his already famous counterparts covered his rugged and dark yet exquisite monologue-like ballads.
As far as I am concerned, he deserves all the acclaim and respect also for not being a mainstream sell-out and staying true to what he believes in, alcohol and music.
Scarlett Johansson is his best female cover artist I believe, simply for the resemblance in their characteristic morning after-like vocal dispositions.
I have heard other covers, magnificent performances, but unlike Scarlet's hoarse voice they fail to deliver the distinctive grotesque edge.
