I unfortunately learnt the hard way that it is extremely handy to own a back up phone in case things go pear-shaped. As in if your phone is jacked, drowned, smashed, lost or something rather. I learnt how irresponsible I am with them, I however never learnt my lesson. I cannot say that all the terrible things that happened to my phones I initiated or prayed for, I am not sure what it is about me exactly, I guess I am just shit with phones.
My very first phone, Bosch 909 Dual S, was just something special, something to be proud of about 12 years ago. Cold metal look, very flashy, blue display, something uncommon at that time, true memorabilia that warmed my heart. Stolen in a week.
Nokia N95 was given to me by my father, as a birthday gift, a professional phone, a phenomenal camera. Stolen within a month.
I actually never told my dad, did not want to upset him, and made up a story about an upgrade I was offered and bought Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which I managed to drown within 4 months.
Through the years, inexpensive Nokias became my companions so I would like to thank them, I am grateful, but I hope we will never see each other again.
One would think one stolen phone and you are very careful next time, one would think 2 stolen phones and you stop socialising, one would think three stolen phones and you just become an assassin.
I am getting my White Iphone 4 in a week. I know. Cross my heart, if this one happens to disappear or ends up in a bath tub or something else, I swear I will get a pigeon.
Coo, coo.
